Experienced Line Operator – PLC/HMI Systems
Location: Barco – Tallapoosa, GA
Starting Pay: $27/hour (DOE)
Shift: Flexible | Swing Shifts | 24/5 Operation (M–F)
Barco is hiring Experienced Line Operators in Tallapoosa, GA. We’re in the early phases of launching production, and we’re looking for hands-on professionals who can hit the ground running. If you're adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled in PLC and HMI-based operations, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate automated production lines utilizing PLC controls and HMI screens
- Monitor system performance, make real-time setting adjustments via HMI
- Troubleshoot and escalate equipment issues as needed
- Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure smooth line operation
- Document production data and system changes accurately
- Support start-up processes and ongoing line optimization during the plant ramp-up
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience operating and troubleshooting PLC-controlled production lines
- Strong understanding of HMI interfaces for monitoring and adjusting system settings
- Comfortable using computers and production software tools
- Engineering or technical background strongly preferred
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including occasional nights as needed
- A team-first attitude with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Schedule & Compensation:
- Regular hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Future schedule: Swing shifts, 24/5 coverage (M–F)
- Pay starts at $27/hour, with consideration for experience
