Position Overview
As a leading provider of commercial-grade site furnishings, Barco Products is a fast-paced and growth-oriented company that rewards hard work, collaboration, and results. We’re seeking a customer-centric Product Development Manager to lead our Recycled Plastic Site Furnishings category.
Responsibilities
- Grow the Recycled Plastic Site Furnishings product category by driving strategy and managing the full product lifecycle—from new product launches to pricing optimization and end-of-life decisions.
- Identify high-impact, customer-driven new product opportunities and define market potential, competitive positioning, and product road priorities to fuel category growth.
- Collaborate with the engineering team in our Waukesha, WI facility to develop new Recycled Plastic Site Furnishing products, ensuring seamless delivery, quality, and alignment with business objectives.
- Leverage Voice of Customer insights to drive product development, shape marketing strategies, and ensure offerings align with customer needs, expectations, and market trends.
- Lead NPD projects through a structured stage gate process to deliver innovative products that address customer needs and align with strategic business objectives.
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence by tracking market trends, analyzing competitors, and identifying new product opportunities to stay ahead in the market.
- Partner with the marketing and sales team to create and execute integrated marketing plans, promotions, and product positioning strategies that differentiate product lines and drive sales growth.
- Create and deliver training programs and sales tools for the Customer Service and Sales teams to effectively promote and support new products.
- Attend trade shows to capture valuable voice of customer insights, engage with vendors, and monitor industry trends to inform future product development and strategy.
- Travel as required to engage with the engineering and manufacturing teams at our KirbyBuilt production facility in Waukesha WI, as well as domestic vendors throughout the US.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product management and product development, preferably with a focus on furniture or commercial-grade products.
- Strong technical understanding and ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Robust project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize against the strategic goals and initiatives of the organization and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional critical thinking and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach to overcoming challenges and achieving objectives.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation across all levels of the organization.
- Action-oriented and results-driven, with a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes.

- Please note this role is primarily based onsite at our Batavia, IL location; however we are open to considering placement at our Waukesha, WI location.

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
