The Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Controller. This person will assist with recording daily and monthly transactional activities while adhering to GAAP and Barco's accounting policies. The Senior Accountant will record preparation, research, and reporting related to, but not limited to, general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts as directed, financial-related reports, schedules, and tax preparation. CPA certification is required.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Controller. This person will assist with recording daily and monthly transactional activities while adhering to GAAP and Barco's accounting policies. The Senior Accountant will record preparation, research, and reporting related to, but not limited to, general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts as directed, financial-related reports, schedules, and tax preparation. CPA certification is required.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Reviews financial statements, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis
- Reviews, analyzes, investigates, and reports on monthly financial statement results
- Assist with developing, implementing, and revising of financial policies, procedures, systems, and practices that are a part of the company's set of internal controls
- Assist in the coordination of month end
- Assist controller in various activities including bank reconciliation, borrowing base reports, and Sales tax
- Work with AR, AP, and other departments as needed to resolve issues
- Assist with any other duties assigned

- Ability to support departments to achieve optimal results
- High competency with accounting software, spreadsheets, databases, data extraction, and MS tools
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Highly organized and good time management
