We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Human Resources (VP HR) to lead our HR
initiatives and drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and employee engagement. The Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for designing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that align with our business objectives. This individual will lead all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee
development, organizational culture, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic vision and operational expertise to support the
growth and success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the company’s mission, vision, and goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational objectives and business needs.
- Executive presence at leadership and board meetings, town halls and various other employee meetings.
2. Talent Management:
- Oversee talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent in the software and supply chain industries.
- Design and implement leadership development and succession planning programs.
- Lead the company’s quarterly performance management program and leadership calibration process.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
3. Organizational Development & Culture:
- Lead efforts to build a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Develop initiatives that enhance employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
- Act as a change agent to drive organizational transformation and adapt to evolving business needs.
4. Compensation & Benefits:
- Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure that programs attract, motivate, and retain talent while aligning with industry benchmarks and company goals.
- Manage the benefit and compensation design process and maintain cost effective total reward incentives that attract, retain, and incentivize top performers.
5. Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and alignment with legal standards.
6. HR Technology & Analytics:
- Oversee management of the company’s HRIS.
- Evaluate and implement HR technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
- Use HR analytics to measure and report on key workforce metrics and support data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in strategic HR leadership within the software, technology, or supply chain industries is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience with state laws and regulations.
- Experience with organizational design, change management, and leadership development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Expertise in HR technology systems and analytics.
- SHRM-SCP or HRCI-SPHR certified.
- SHRM California Law HR Specialty Credential preferred.
Physical Requirements
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting including
verbally communicating, seeing and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of
a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions may include standing, sitting and walking for prolonged
periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The
employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to
25 pounds. The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand
movement.
Environment and Normal Working Conditions
Office/Warehouse environment. Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. However, this
position will/may require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company
operations.
