The Superintendent is the company’s representative managing all on-site construction activities and day-to-day coordination with subcontractors and in-house crews. Quality control, safety, schedule enforcement, communication, and pride in the company are the key qualities we require of all of our Superintendents. We are looking for individuals that excel in this arena who wish to join a firm with an outstanding reputation in the marketplace. Our project types include commercial, industrial, institutional, medical, retail, and renovation projects under a variety of contract delivery methods including general construction, design/build, and construction management.
Qualities & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate confidence and strong leadership
- Communicate professionally and clearly, verbally and in written form
- Have a track record of on-time delivery of projects, must be proactive in ensuring schedules are met.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of interpreting plans, and have confidence in helping assist clients and architects with solutions
- Demonstrate knowledge of commercial construction projects (surveying/layout, excavation/grading/utilities, masonry, rough and finish carpentry, interior finishes, etc.)
- Develop and maintain site utilization pan
- Coordinate, schedule and manage all vendor and subcontractor activities
- Maintain project schedule by managing two and four week look ahead. Anticipate and resolve issues that may arise to mitigate the risk of delay
- Manage the quality control program on the project
- Ensure all project and job site reporting is completed accurately and consistently
- Work with Project Manager to mitigate subcontractor change orders and back charges.
- Work closely with owners, vendors, subcontractors, and peers to ensure project is seamless
- Closeout project in compliance with contract documents
Job Requirements:
- Construction Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
- Superintendent Experience: 3 years (preferred)
- Valid Drivers License (required)
- Clear background (background checks required for project access)
- Drug tests required for project access
