Overview
Barcott Construction is looking for a motivated, experienced individual who will actively participate in hands-on work alongside their crew while overseeing daily operations, including scheduling tasks, ensuring quality standards, managing materials, and maintaining safety compliance. Work is throughout Washington and Northern Idaho.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the physical work alongside the crew depending on the project needs. Assign tasks to crew members, monitor their work performance, and provide on-the-job training.
  • Develop daily work schedules, coordinate activities, and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Inspect work in progress to maintain quality standards and identify any issues.
  • Enforce safety regulations, conduct safety inspections, and address safety concerns.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the project, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Clearly communicate project expectations, updates, and concerns to crew members, project manager, and owner both verbally and electronically.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years of on-site civil construction experience as a Foreman
  • Expertise with construction methods, equipment, materials, site safety & labor management
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications as well as implement them
  • Understand grades, elevations, and compaction requirements
  • Experience installing sewer, storm, and water pipe
  • Basic computer literacy, including e-mail communication

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with construction of lift stations, roads, and/or civil works projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and organize work to stay on schedule and on budget
  • Exemplary communication skills with subcontractors, suppliers and crews
  • Able to take and follow through on directions
  • Familiar with use, application and mechanics of general construction equipment
  • Able to establish and maintain positive relationships with owners, architect and inspectors on site
  • Exhibit integrity & ethical behavior in all facets of duties above

Prevailing Wage, Public Works

Year round work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59.07 - $79.01 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
