Bard College Counseling Services is hiring a full-time Mental Health Counselor with experience working with college students. This is a four day per week, 10-month full time permanent position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides individual, group, and couples counseling to students presenting with a variety of personal, social, academic, and mental health concerns
- Provides crisis assessment and intervention during work hours and on call rotation for evenings and weekends
- Consultation and collaboration with campus partners, including participation in campus-wide committees
- Develop and deliver creative and innovative programming, including groups, workshops, and events specifically to college students
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice counseling independently in New York State, or if from out of state, New York licensed-eligible within one year after hire (LCAT, LCSW, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist)
- Experience providing group counseling
- Interest and experience presenting trainings and outreach programs to students, faculty, and staff
- Interest and experience working with at least one of the following: trauma, substance use disorders, neurodivergent students
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a team of professionals
- Ability to maintain up to date and accurate documentation
- Other duties as assigned

Compensation: $60,500 - $62,000
This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
