Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for an IT Support Technician at our facility located in Madison, GA . This role will require working four 10-hour shifts per week to align with the facility's operational schedule.

Role Overview :
The IT Support Technician is an operational technical support role focused on providing comprehensive IT assistance across the organization. This position is responsible for day-to-day technical support, system maintenance, and user assistance. The role combines hands-on technical work with user training and documentation, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and positive user experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems and concerns associated with IT equipment and software.
- Plan and coordinate the purchase, installation and implementation of IT equipment and software according to department standards and procedures.
- Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Verify daily and monthly system backups.
- Maintain IT software and equipment registration and inventory to provide upgrades as necessary and ensure appropriate security levels are maintained.
- Uphold the enterprise policy guidelines as well as recommend new and improved guidelines to ensure compatibility and better service for all users.
- Maintain current technical expertise in the rapidly changing area of IT and utilize state-of-the-art techniques when implementing IT solutions.
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
- Fulfill departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation or education.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments to optimize working relationships and communication.
- Assist users with company-approved AI tools and platforms
- Support implementation of AI-enhanced help desk solutions
- Participates in the team's weekend on-call rotation, providing critical technical support and emergency response outside standard business hours
- All other duties, as assigned.
