Factory Worker

Bardo Custom Blending, a thriving manufacturer, is looking for a General Labor to join their team at their Elroy location.

What’s the role?

Bardo Custom Blending is a family owned company and dry milk powder manufacturer blending dry powder to be used to food products. The general labor position is responsible for picking up 50 pound bags of powdered milk, stacking the bags on pallets overhead, cutting open bags, dumping product from bags into blenders, and completing the repackaging process to reseal bags on an assembly line. There are 8 people working on the shift with 2 lines.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Ability to walk, twist, bend, and lift 50 pounds over your head to move product bags
• Ability to work to stand and work on concrete up to 9 hours a day
• Minimum height of 5 foot 5 inches for ability to properly lift and stack product bags on equipment
• Reliable to come to work each day on time
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, sounds, textures, and odors
• Ability to speak English or Spanish to communicate with team; there is a bilingual team member to assist Spanish speaking team members
• Basic math skills desired

What will my schedule look like?

The General Labor roles works first shift Monday through Friday 6am-3:30pm. First break is 30 minutes and paid and lunch break is 11:30a-12p. If overtime is needed, the team works a 9-hour shift to avoid weekend shifts. Rarely will the team work overtime on Saturdays 6a-11a. The team never works Sundays.

Perks and Benefits Package:

• Starting pay is $17/hour and after 90 days team members exceeding expectations receive a $1/hour increase
• Eligible for health insurance after 60 days. Employer pays 50% of insurance premium.
• After 90 days receive 24 hours of paid time off (PTO.) After one year receive an additional 40 hours of PTO for a total of 64 hours
