Cook Responsibilities
Be trained in all kitchen stations.
The responsibilities of a BOH member include:
- Measure and mix ingredients to prepare some menu items following recipes.
- Collaborate with the head chef and cooks to prepare meals during meal hours.
- Maintain accurate food inventory.
- Properly store foods at appropriate temperatures.
- Rotate stock items according to established procedures (FIFO).
- Restock stations for subsequent shifts.
- Ensure the food preparation area and kitchen are clean and disinfected throughout and at the end of their shift.
Job Qualifications
- Prior cooking experience preferred.
- Able to read tickets in English and follow recipes and protocols.
- Great knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
- Able to work as a team member in a busy kitchen environment.
