What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Barefoot Bay Recreation District?
The Position: Part Time Server needed to work 19th hole and/or pool lounge to meet culinary needs of these food establishments. Part time position approximately 15 - 20 hours per week.
Pay Rate: $9.98 hours plus tips Pay Grade T1
Supervision received:
Works under the direct supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager and Lead Server/Bartender.
General Purpose:
Serve drinks and/or meals to patrons in dining and lounge establishments by performing the duties listed below:
Key Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Write orders on check.
Enter food orders in the Point-of-Sale system.
Prepare and/or deliver all beverages in a timely manner.
Stock bar prior, during and following shift.
Responsible for running food to tables.
Check back with guests within a few minutes of food delivery to ask about the quality of food and any additional requests.
Request identification from customers when legal age is questionable.
Remove empty or dirty dishes, glasses and bottles and return them to the bar or kitchen area. Reset table if applicable.
Greet all guests within on minute.
Present menu, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and drinks.
Ensure that all orders taken are written down.
Total bill and accept payment or refer patron to cashier.

Desired minimum qualifications:
Must have pleasant outgoing manner and enjoy working with the public.
Must be a team player and work well with co-workers,
Must be organized and follow the directions of the manager.
Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have a command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
Knowledge of restaurant operations.
Must be well groomed and have good hygiene habits.
Must be able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.
Able to lift 25 lbs of product.
Must become Safe Staff Certified within 30 days of employment
