Qualifications
- MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECK
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate hand tools and handheld mobile devices
- Effective communication, outstanding customer service
- Critical thinking, problem solving, sound decision making, managing priorities
- Daily travel; valid state driver’s license and safe driving record
Training
We are happy to train you whether you have no experience or years. Training takes about 2 weeks, give or take, and it's hands-on from day 1. We will teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful in the field. Keep in mind that even after training, you have a supervisor that is local to you in case you need any help while you're out in the field even after training. Depending on your experience and work ethic you could expect to close about 3/4 jobs when you get out of training and plan to be able to close more as you grow in the job. Some of our experience techs with about a year of experience are closing twice that on a daily basis.
Pay
We get paid weekly on Friday, direct deposit to the account of your choosing. They will total up all the jobs you closed from prior weeks and pay it out in full on that pay date. Spectrum does hold your check back for 2 weeks, but during those 2 weeks you will receive the bonus broken up into 2 payments of $500. You will not receive the first part of your bonus until you are done with training and closing jobs on your own. You will receive a 1099 at the end of the year which means you will receive your full pay, untaxed. Being a subcontractor means you get to right off all your work related expenses and mileage throughout the year which is a fantastic perk (in my opinion =) ) Our jobs have different rates of pay depending on what services you are installing. For example a Spectrum "single play" (where you go to the home and install one service either their cable, internet or phone) starts at 56$ and some change.
Schedule:
We do work 5 days a week, one of those being a weekend day. You can work more than 5 if you choose too. We do have some different shifts based on your area and Spectrums needs for that area which we can go over.
Work hours:
8am - 7pm
10am- 9pm
