Supply Chain Coordinator

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for identifying the best seed batch for our customers and verify seed batches meet the standards of the customer and are in alignment with federal, state and ASTA guidelines. Works with external seed companies to purchase seed in situations where internal product is unavailable. Accuracy and communication are essential elements of this role.

1. Creates Blend Sheets specific to region and destination according to Federal and State seed laws and based on turf and forage grass knowledge.

2. Closes Blend Sheets based upon finalized products.

3. Purchases seed from external seed companies

4. Updates reports that are being used daily.

5. Provides input for Supply Planner regarding quality and availability of lots.

6. Focused on accuracy of inventory.

7. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. High level of accuracy and communication is vital.

2. Experience with negotiations and purchasing.

3. Understanding of federal and state seed laws

4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

5. Ability to work independently and with others.

6. Experience manipulating data in excel, databases and systems.

7. Connection with the agricultural sector and the grass seed business

8. Proactive working mentality

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of experience or education in an agriculture field
