Our Energy & Resource practice is looking for a Director to join the team.
In this role, you will be working at the forefront of the energy transition alongside market specialists with deep industry knowledge where you will be able to deploy and then broaden your skill set and sector expertise.
Our power market advisory team gives our clients an unparalleled combination of energy market expertise and commercial insight. We are proud to work with the foremost policymakers, regulators, investors, developers, lenders, and energy companies operating globally across the energy supply chain. Led by a Senior Management Team respected as Thought Leaders within the industry, we help our clients shape, define and implement change in energy markets.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be part of the senior leadership team and have responsibility for driving our advisory business utilizing our power market outlooks to support strategy and transaction activity in the North American power sector, working with our team of market modelers, economists, and energy experts.
You will help to maintain and grow our network of clients, driving our insights and business development process, putting together compelling proposals, and steering the delivery of our advisory mandates. You will have the opportunity to progress to Partner (i.e. an equity holder in our firm) following a track record of successfully growing this area of the business.

Your Skills And Experience
- 10 years of experience of working in an advisory capacity in transactions in North American power markets working on generation, independent power producers (IPPs), merchant transmission, and other assets
- Good working knowledge of commercial and regulatory issues in a number of ISOs, with ERCOT, PJM, MISO, and CAISO being particularly useful
- Demonstrable ability of working with production cost modeling results in North American power markets, with the ability to think through modeling solutions and design methodologies using such software
- Project management experience from a consulting or advisory environment where projects are managed to important deadlines for external stakeholders
- People management skills, with the ability to steer teams of 4-6 people working on multiple tasks concurrently
- A well-rounded network of relationships with developers, investors, IPPs, and the wider financing ecosystem supporting the financing of energy infrastructure in North America
- A track record of originating and selling work across the industry

- Salary range: $245,000 - $285,000
