Our Energy & Resource practice are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to join the team.

Our energy market advisory team gives our clients an unparalleled combination of market expertise and commercial insight. We are proud to work with the foremost policymakers, regulators, investors, developers, lenders and energy companies operating globally across the energy supply chain. Led by a Senior Management Team respected as Thought Leaders within the industry, we help our clients shape, define and implement change in energy markets.

We advise the organizations at the heart of this transformation, providing market research reports and projections, and economic, commercial, and strategic consulting to energy companies, financial institutions, governments and regulators. Our work is used across company and asset valuations for mergers and acquisitions, optimizing portfolios from fuel contracting to generation dispatch, developing hedging strategies for vertically integrated energy companies, and advising government on the costs and benefits of different future energy policy options.

What you will be doing

  • You will have experience in sales of energy-related products and advisory services to work within our fast-growing Energy Market Advisory team
  • You will deploy your commercial mindset to develop a strong pipeline of client opportunities to fuel our sustained growth
  • You will engage with a wide range of clients, both domestically and internationally, showcasing a strong understanding of Baringa's offerings
  • You will build market and product knowledge, aligning Baringa's products and advisory solutions with their requirements
  • You'll proactively communicate with clients to understand their key priorities, discuss our offerings and deliver commercial proposals, facilitating the sales process through to contract execution
  • You will gather market intelligence and client feedback, which will inform the development of new propositions and offerings by our advisory and product teams

Your skills and experience

  • You will have 8 years of previous work experience in a sales-driven environment, preferably focused on sales of research, reports, and advisory services
  • You will have demonstrable evidence of building and managing a pipeline of opportunities in a previous role
  • You will have experience in negotiating and structuring commercial contracts with clients and customers
  • You will have excellent communication and presentation skills in front of external audiences
  • You will have a track record of effective team working, including coaching, managing, and training junior members of staff
  • You will have an interest in energy markets and hot topics surrounding them including the energy transition, renewables, gas, AI, and datacenters
  • You will have an interest in infrastructure commercial arrangements and financing
  • You will have the ability to take ownership and manage opportunities day-to-day to deliver results in client-facing environments
