Position Summary:
The position is responsible for assisting in the financial reporting, general ledger management, account reconciliation, cash application and cash management processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant/Treasury position will assist in the following responsibilities:
- Financial record keeping and reporting systems.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements including trial balance, balance sheet, and profit/loss statements.
- Reconciliation to subsidiary records
- Preparation of monthly closing general ledger entries
- Preparation of reconciliations and follow-up on any unusual items.
- Collection and payment applications
- Preparation of securitization monthly reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High knowledge of Excel and the development of spreadsheets.
- Analytical and accounting skills.
- Ability to identify issues and resolve them independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient MS Word and MS Outlook.
Education and Experience:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. Public accounting or private accounting with journal entry and general ledger experience. Minimum of two years of experience.
