Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented fund Operations to join our team to oversee the operational functions of Barings China’s PFM and QDLP businesses.
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented fund Operations to join our team to oversee the operational functions of Barings China’s PFM and QDLP businesses.
The role will be responsible for handling a wide range of operational tasks related to fund management, investor onboarding, regulatory reporting, and service provider coordination. Candidates are expected to have a good understanding of fund operating practices and regulations in the local market and the ability to effectively address operational challenges. You will coordinate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless operational support and ensure smooth execution of daily operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the fund operation function of Baring China for PFM and QDLP business including fund subscriptions/redemptions, FX execution, and distribution.
- Monitor and track operational workflows, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
- Oversight of the fund administrator for fund valuation activities, run NAV reconciliation, review of all regulatory reporting prepared by Fund Administrator, and ensure all regulatory reports are submitted within the required timeframes.
- Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to ensure effective communication and resolution of operational issues.
- Oversee performance of service providers, including regular service review, key performance indicator tracking and ongoing due diligence monitoring.
- Support investor onboarding process, including KYC/AML validations for new account opening and assisting with documentation requirements.
- Participate in the launch of new funds and support related process documentations.
- Other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- University graduate with 3 years working experience in asset management, custodian bank or fund administrator in China.
- Good understanding of local market practices and regulations on fund operations.
- Good communication skills (Chinese and English), with the ability to interact with both internal teams and external service providers.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability, able to work independently.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude.
