General Studies Head Teacher, Lower School
Barkai Yeshivah is seeking a dynamic and passionate General Studies Head Teacher to join our Lower School team. The General Studies Head Teacher will lead a classroom of young learners, fostering a love for knowledge and developing critical thinking skills in students. This position is focused on delivering high-quality instruction in subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, while ensuring that each child’s academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
The General Studies Head Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, and assessing student progress. This role involves collaborating closely with other teachers, including Judaic Studies and Hebrew language instructors, to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s education. The General Studies Head Teacher will also play a key role in classroom management, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The position reports to the Lower School Director. We are seeking an educator who is committed to nurturing students’ academic growth, fostering creativity, and creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
