Barker Animal Hospital is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will assist during exams and outpatient care, and in helping our Doctors and Licensed Veterinary Technicians deliver exceptional care during surgical and dental procedures.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will coordinate and execute precise treatment plans and prepare animals for surgery or dentistry. You will work closely with the team to manage the veterinarian’s orders, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while maintaining an efficient workflow to keep procedures on schedule. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in client engagement and schedule management.

This is a full-time position, with a 4 / 10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Minimum Qualifications and Skillset :

  • 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting required
  • Proficiency in the following skills :

    • Inpatient care

  • Venipuncture
  • Surgical Assisting
  • Radiology
  • Laboratory procedures
