Please note that this role is not eligible for remote work; presence on-site is required to perform the duties effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain a service-oriented environment by exhibiting a professional appearance and attitude.
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, common areas, and grounds.
Participate in snow removal and other weather-related emergencies as necessary.
Make apartments ready for move-in and complete residents' work orders, including, but not limited to, floor replacement, plumbing repair / replacement, electrical installation / repair, HVAC tune-up / repair / replacement, minor carpet repair, carpentry, fixture / window treatment installation / repair, and cabinetry.
Participate in larger maintenance projects, including, but not limited to, asphalt and cement repair, deck repair, siding painting, and repair.
Carry the on-call phone when required and respond to all emergency calls immediately, efficiently, and effectively.
Participate in job and safety training, including HVAC, pool certification, etc.
Contribute to the safe working environment of Barker Apartments, QC properties by always maintaining safe work practices.

Requirements

Working knowledge of tools, materials, methods, and practices involved in apartment maintenance and projects.

Experience operating power and manual tools.

Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Ability to work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to lift and move 60 pounds without restrictions.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods and climb three flights of stairs throughout the day.

Maintain professional, positive relationships with prospects, residents, and coworkers.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Ability to use electronic communications professionally and efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation : $18-$22 per hour
