Strategy Director

The Strategy Director is the player coach of strategy, leading teams, clients and projects. 

You bring power to every idea, every client, every project. You treat the spectrum as a business and creative imperative. You forge strong relationships with senior clients and push more than anyone for excellence in insight and idea with your teams. You’re a mentor and a highly visible partner.

The Strategy Director position must exemplify the art and science of strategy. They must demonstrate rigorous, collaborative, action-rich, always practical strategy. 

You must balance leading agency accounts and formal management of team members. You must flex effectively between execution and management, left and right side of the spectrum, and instruction and inspiration.

You must implement ideas on how to improve agency and team process. You must know the industry and have a pulse on culture. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leads strategy development for multiple clients, project work, and new business.
• Accountable for all daily strategy work
• Becomes an invaluable resource for clients in terms of growth across the whole spectrum and knows a client’s business inside and out
• Manage and pushes for excellence in daily deliverables, from briefs to primary research 
• Writes methodology and proposals for project work in tandem with department heads
• Responsible for delivering powerful artifacts that bring strategy to life (eg. modern consumer videos)
• Mentors multiple strategists and develops new solutions for the strategic process at BarkleyOKRP
• Lead integrated idea teams both internally and externally in  brainstorms and workshops.
• Finds creative, differentiating ways to gain insights, using known tools (qualitative and quantitative), as well as new approaches.
• Demonstrates a strategy specialty (comms planning, brand architecture, content)
• Responsible for case studies
