Job Summary: As a Pet Groomer at Barks & Bubbles, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring they look and feel their best. Your role will involve grooming tasks such as bathing, cutting, and styling, as well as providing a positive and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, cutting, and styling for pets of various breeds and sizes.
- Assess pets’ health and appearance, identifying any skin issues, parasites, or abnormalities and reporting them to pet owners as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, following safety and hygiene protocols.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and deliver excellent results.
- Handle pets gently and professionally to minimize stress and ensure a positive grooming experience.
- Manage scheduling and maintain accurate records of grooming services and any special instructions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to balance any work and cleaning duties, while ensuring efficient and high-quality service.
- Provide exceptional customer service, have outstanding work ethics, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related role is required for at least 2 years.
- Certification from a recognized grooming school may be required.
- Knowledge of various grooming techniques, tools, and pet breeds.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with pets and their owners.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for animal welfare.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle pets and perform grooming tasks.
