Summary
Machine Operators play a crucial role in the production process by operating and maintaining various machines, such as Tube Seamer, CNC Router, Press Brake, Shear, Bender, and others specialized machinery to ensure the efficient and accurate operation that contributes to the overall quality and timely production of pontoon boats.
There are two levels of Machine Operator employees at Barletta (Machine Operator I and Machine Operator II) which may be differentiated based upon and individual’s specialized skills, abilities, previous work experience, and ability to work across more complex machines and / or programming.

Job Responsibilities
- Machine Operation:
- Operate and monitor Tube Seamer, CNC Router, Press Brake, Shear, Bender, and other machinery as required.
- Set up machines according to specifications for each production run.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
- Quality Assurance:
- Perform routine quality checks to verify the accuracy and precision of machined components.
- Identify and report any issues or defects in the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to meet and maintain high-quality standards.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues promptly.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs or adjustments.
- Adherence to Safety Protocols:
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members, including other machine operators and production staff, to achieve production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other relevant personnel.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production volumes, and any adjustments made during the manufacturing process.
- Complete production logs and reports as required.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Stay informed about new technologies and methods in machine operation.
- Safety
- Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in boat manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Tube Seamer, CNC Router, Press Brake, Shear, Bender, and other relevant machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
