Primary Function
To assist in the planning, creation, and production of proposals, government forms, and statements of qualifications in response to public sector and private sector requests. This will require working closely with multiple team members and departments throughout the company to coordinate proposal efforts.
Essential Functions
Creates, gathers, researches, and organizes information from many sources to generate proposals.
Reviews RFPs and bid/qualifications, request documents to clearly understand client requirements.
Prepares responsibility and compliance matrix.
Assists in writing and coordination of all proposals, related documents, and other information needed in business growth.
Monitors proposal for accurate content, consistency, and compliance.
Supports graphics, editing, quality assurance, and production.
Identifies and edits existing materials and writes copy to effectively communicate services, core capabilities, and key discriminators to develop responses.
Research and gathers information for proposals.
Ensures proposal compliance is always being maintained for proposal submissions.
Tracks and reports status of all proposal elements to proposal team.
Manages the production of draft, final text, and graphics.
Supports special projects and completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate such as conference planning and preparation of brochures, etc.
Required Education and Experience
BA/BS in Construction, Science, English, Communications, or closely related field from an accredited college or university or demonstrated equivalent.
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of professional experience providing government proposal development.
Technical writing background knowledge.
Excellent spelling and grammatical skills.
Stong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a very dynamic environment.
This position may require occasional domestic travel and attendance at various conferences and meetings.
