Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to join our team. This position involves performing routine maintenance and lubrication services on various types of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must have a CDL and HAZMAT.
Responsibilities
- Perform lubrication and fluid changes for a variety of heavy equipment, including construction machinery, trucks, and industrial equipment.
- Inspect and maintain equipment for proper operation, ensuring that all lubrication points are serviced according to manufacturer specifications.
- Apply oil, grease, and other lubricants to machines and equipment to prevent wear and tear, improving overall lifespan.
- Monitor fluid levels and replenish engine oils, transmission fluids, hydraulic fluids, and other essential fluids.
- Conduct inspections of machinery to identify any signs of potential problems or issues, and report them to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including fluid changes, inspections, and any other services performed.
- Keep the service area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and assist in repairs as needed.
- Ensure the proper disposal of used oils and fluids following environmental and safety guidelines.
- Work alongside other team members to ensure equipment is serviced in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a lube technician or mechanic, preferably with heavy equipment or large machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery, hydraulic systems, and lubrication methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Valid CDL and Hazmat.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
