About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Barnabas Health Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing top-notch patient care and supporting our physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Duties
- Performing EKGs, hearing and vision screens, urinalysis, injections, vaccinations, and medication administration as needed.
- Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, preparing lab requests, and other clerical tasks as assigned.
- Communicating with insurance providers and handling pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- BLS Certification approved by AHA.
- Medical Assistant Certification: NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAMA, NCMA, AMCA, AECA, or NAHP.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
