Job Description:
The RNFA serves as an extension of the primary operating surgeon, providing essential support during surgical procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include assessing patients pre-operatively, developing a nursing care plan, communicating post-operative information, and continuously assessing patients during intra-operative phases.
Key Requirements:
Candidates for this role must possess a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of 24 months of preoperative experience. Satisfactory completion of a State-approved RNFA program and certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) are also necessary. In addition, candidates should be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR-BLS).
