**Responsibilities and Expectations:**
The Surgical Support Specialist will assist the primary operating surgeon in the Perioperative care of patients undergoing a surgical experience. This includes assessing patient pre-operatively, developing a nursing care plan, communicating post-operative information, and demonstrating intraoperative competency.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Satisfactory completion of State-approved RNFA program.
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR); certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, basic life-saver (CPR-BLS).
- Accumulation of 150 contact hours of continuing education every 5 years.
