The Surgery Scheduler plays a crucial role in our medical office by scheduling and coordinating patient surgeries. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate patient surgeries
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Prepare patient charts and obtain necessary signatures
- Communicate with patients regarding their surgical appointments and testing
- Work with physicians to accommodate other patients and fill OR schedule
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two years of work experience in a medical office setting with medical receptionist or surgical scheduling experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
Working Conditions:
- Monday-Friday, Day Shift
- Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week
