Job Overview:
The Assistant Director of Patient Care role will be to oversee and delegate the daily operations for Same Day Surgery and PAT, while fostering a positive work environment. They will be responsible for anticipating and addressing the complex, individual needs of patients and will work to create an efficient workflow within the unit.
Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in an acute care setting
- Active RN New Jersey License
- BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
- BSN
Preferred:
- Clinical experience in a preoperative setting
- National certification in an applicable clinical specialty
- MSN
- Epic experience
Essential Duties:
In this position, the candidate has the responsibility of the daily assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of quality patient care for both the departments. Duties include, but not limited to, staff scheduling, quality improvement, coaching, functioning as a liaison between the Operating Room, PAT and SDS.
Functions as a role model and clinical resource to staff, provides guidance and professional development, facilitates interdepartmental coordination, identifies opportunities for growth and quality of patient care and services, develops and implements policies and procedures, participates in departmental quality assurance.
Scheduling:
- 40 hours a week
