Patient Access Representative I

Job Overview:

The Patient Representative is responsible for effectively responding to inbound new and current patient calls for RWJBarnabas Health affiliated offices and schedule first time and returning patient follow-up appointments, strategically scheduling patients to the provider that will best suit their needs based on a series of clinical indicators. The Patient Representative will schedule patients and handle general questions with genuine empathy, striving to exceed patients expectations on every call.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivelent

• Must be c o m p uter lite r a t e w ith profic i en c y a nd w o r k i n g k n o w le d ge of da t abase and r e porti n g t o ols such as M i c r oso f t W o rd, Exce l , A ccess and P o w er P oint

Preferred:

• Epic Experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing processes

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift Working: Nights, 11:00PM-7:00PM
• Monday through Friday, with every other weekend/holiday
• Full-Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week
