Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Prior experience with hospital Patient Access/Registration and EPIC
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- N/A
Scheduling Requirements:
- Flexible shifts MondayFriday 5:30-6pm -
- One Saturday twice 6:45a-12p month
- Weekend and Holiday Rotations
- Requires travel to cover offsite locations in Toms River, Forked River, and Barnegat
- Per Diem
Essential Functions:
- Interviews and to complete registration patientor family
- Obtain/confirm demographic and financial information is complete and accurate. Obtain and copy ID and insurance cards. Complete and copy all consent forms all
- Accurately complete the Medicare Secondary payer questionnaire (MSP)
- Answers department phones quickly and relays all messages
- Collect deposits, deductibles and co-pays meet required cash targets so as to
- Maintain the required productivity and accuracy percentage as specified for job level
- Obtain Advance Medical Directive information, patient specific
- Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records
