Job Overview:
The IAM Senior Application Analyst's primary responsibility is to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) operational activities for the RWJBH Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This position requires Senior-level knowledge of Epic security build and best practice. This includes user onboarding, transfer, offboarding, certifications and other established operational processes. The analyst will closely lead and collaborate with business areas on defining and maintaining access management processes, including event driven and periodic access reviews, and work to ensure execution of those operational processes.
The Senior Security Application Analyst will collaborate with Technical Leads and Application support teams to manage the development, deployment, and operations of the company identity solutions. The team member will work closely with the peer teams across the enterprise to implement strategic decisions.
The analyst will lead and assist in the development of department and organization wide policies and procedures, while effectively communicating these to customers to ensure compliant practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associates Degree
- 2 years of Epic security experience in an analyst, governance, or support role.
Preferred:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in IT preferred (years of experience may be substituted for degree)
- 5 years of Epic security experience in an analyst, governance, or support role, 3 of which are in a leadership/advisory position. SailPoint, ServiceNow and MS Office knowledge
Required Certifications:
- Epic Security Certification
- Epic Data Courier Mover Badge or Data Courier Administrator certification
Essential Functions:
- IAM Lifecycle Activities
- Perform user account life cycle management, which includes creating, provisioning, updating, and inactivating.
- Perform routine maintenance; logging, troubleshooting, and escalating security issues as needed.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Epic User Security.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with application Updates and Special Updates, evaluation of new technology, settings, and functionality.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and support of Role Based Access Controls (RBAC).
- Champion the alignment of Epic security build in compliance with least privileged access.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation on system configurations and technical settings for internal team use, end user support, and other IS teams as needed.
- Complete daily standard work, reporting, and communication as needed.
- Provide rotating after-hours, on-call support.
- Multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Deliver exemplary customer service.
- Operations
- Provide assistance and support as needed to address incidents or issues identified within the organization.
- Assist Security Operations team with Service Requests and Trouble Tickets as requested by the Director.
- Work with the facilities, departments and other IT resources on issues related to Security.
- Provide assistance to the team as requested by Leadership.
- Assist stakeholders on issues related to Epic Security.
- Continuing Education
- Learn new skills and concepts, update and refresh knowledge base through training, webinars and reading articles.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to develop expertise in new technologies as needed.
- Maintain Epic certifications, New Version Trainings (NVT) and Continuing Education Exams (CEE).
