Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications while supporting the daily needs of individuals in a residential care setting. Duties
- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications, reporting any concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide compassionate support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home or senior care facility is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety practices.
- Experience working with individuals with a diverse background.
- Level 1 Medication Aid Certification preferred but willing to train in house
- CPR/1st Aid Certification preferred but willing to train in house
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
