Job Summary
Job Description:
Assist during the period from Tuesday, March 18 to Sunday, March 24 with the activities of the Barnard course "Transatlantic Translation" during a spring break trip to Paris. The course and the spring break trip are led by Prof. Laurie Postlewate of the Barnard College French Department. This trip will include two days of cultural activity (March 18-March 20) and two days of class activity at the Columbia Global Center at Reid Hall. Responsibilities will include assistance with some advance preparation for the trip and accompanying the group of 10 students for some activities in Paris. Total hours: 40 hours maximum. Stipend: $2000.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements
Advanced French language skills; familiarity with Paris; experience working with US undergraduates; availability to manage emergencies that may arise during the program
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
