Barnard is seeking a construction Contract Manager to join our underground construction team. The Contract Manager will work with an Operations Manager / Project Manager and be responsible for overseeing all contractual aspects of a construction project with the owner, subcontractors, and vendors, including negotiating terms, monitoring compliance, managing changes, resolving disputes, ensuring the project adheres to budget and legal requirements, and acting as a liaison between the project team and legal counsel when necessary.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, legal studies, and / or Engineering.
- Must be willing to travel and relocate. Project sites are located domestically and internationally, so relocation and / or travel are required.
- At least 10 years of heavy civil construction experience.
- Experience with heavy civil construction projects including subways, highway tunnels, utility tunnels, water conveyance tunnels, oil & gas, hydroelectric tunnels and mining.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Understanding of legal documentation.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 products especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
