This role involves working on high-profile infrastructure projects, requiring expertise in construction techniques and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Study project blueprints to prepare site layouts and determine materials required
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws
- Verify trueness of structures using plumb bobs and levels
- Assemble cut and shaped materials, fastening them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue
- May be required to operate various tools and equipment, including carpenter's hand tools, power tools, and concrete saws
- Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds
- Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl
- Ability to tolerate heights without fear and maintain balance
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods, reach for, handle, and manipulate items in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work long, irregular hours, up to 70 hours per week
