Barnes Aerospace Lansing division has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Operator. The right candidate will have effective experience with skilled machining operations. Core Responsibilities:
Performs skilled machining operations, including but not limited to; laser cutting/drilling, milling, sawing, tapping and grinding to extremely close tolerances according to customer specifications.
Sets up and operates a broad range of machines including Laser machines, CNC Mills, horizontal boring mills, grinders, drill presses, lathes and EDM.
Interfaces with supervision, toolmakers, engineers, program managers and quality personnel to resolve problems and ensure that parts are manufactured to customer specifications.
Uses all types of inspection and measuring devices to check and verify tooling and parts.
Uses and interprets complicated prints, drawings and process sheets to perform a variety of layouts.
3rd shift pays a 15% Shift Differential that works out to $3.00 per hour!
Qualifications:
3 – 5 years’ manufacturing experience preferred
3 years of CNC machining experience required
Must have experience using a wide variety of hand and power tools including grinders, saws, drill presses and band saws
Must have experience with a wide variety of measuring and inspection devices
Must be able to pay exception attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures and complete assignments accurately and on time
Must have experience in interpreting all types of engineering drawings and documents
Education Requirements
High School diploma required
