Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our GENERAL AND FAMILY dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy office.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures
- Preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Maintain accurate dental records
- Ensure the treatment area is clean, organized, and follows aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Monitor vital signs and assist in managing patient comfort during procedures.
- Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and understanding of dental systems.
- Familiarity with various dental procedures is preferred.
- Experience in dental assisting required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all patients.
- Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining infection control protocols.
OFFICE DAYS AND HOURS: Monday through Thursday
