- Lead commercial transformation initiatives, identifying growth opportunities and driving strategic execution across Barnes Molding Solutions.
- Apply a deep understanding of the global industrial market, particularly in molding technologies, analyzing market demand drivers, regional variations, and competitive landscapes.
- Adopt a customer-back mindset, identifying customer pain points, unmet market needs, and new product introduction opportunities to fuel business growth.
- Influence and align the broader commercial teams (sales and pricing) to drive strategic initiatives, even without direct leadership authority.
- Leverage analytical capabilities to assess SKU-level pricing, optimize pricing strategies, and improve profitability across the book of business.
- Develop financial estimates for growth opportunities, utilizing heuristics and limited market data to make informed decisions.
- Challenge both Barnes' commercial organization and customer procurement teams, fostering innovative pricing and sales strategies.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and operations teams to break down silos, eliminate bottlenecks, and streamline growth pursuits.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of leadership experience in commercial transformation, sales strategy, or business development within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial and molding markets, with the ability to analyze trends, competitive dynamics, and market demand drivers.
- Proven track record in commercial strategy execution, including pricing optimization, new product introduction, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Data-driven decision-making skills, with experience using analytics, pricing models, and market intelligence tools.
- Excellent influencing and collaboration skills, capable of leading through influence rather than direct authority.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, engaging with sales, engineering, operations, and finance to align growth strategies with business objectives.
- Strategic problem-solving mindset, with a willingness to challenge conventional thinking and drive commercial innovation.
- Industry experience in molding, automotive, industrial equipment, or related manufacturing sectors preferred.
- Fluent English required; German, Italian or Chinese languages are a plus.
