Barnes Group Inc. has an opportunity for a Senior Analyst in the Treasury Services group whose primary responsibilities will include daily cash management for all domestic accounts and domestic treasury services including, but not limited to, online banking administration, remote deposit capture, positive pay monitoring and reconciliation of domestic cash transactions. The individual will also work closely with the Global Treasury Manager on international services including foreign exchange hedging and intercompany loan programs. This individual will also collaborate with colleagues across the organization to help resolve vendor inquiries and actively participate in department initiatives to employ all cash management products and services to full capacity.
Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor and process transactions across all domestic accounts and maintain records related to domestic cash management transactions. Evaluate daily cash balances and overdraft positions, compile monthly account statements and review for accuracy. Prepare monthly summary of bank fees and corresponding debit memos to business units. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual Treasury reports.
- Coordinate with users to analyze requirements and design appropriate web-based applications to address. Monitor all issues of external vendor applications and provide support and services to resolve same. Assist customers to understand all benefits of products and services for cash management.
- Actively participate in projects to enhance existing, and implement new, processes and services by leveraging continuous improvement tools to recommend and implement improvements to existing processes. Assist with updating existing products and services policies, procedures and risk assessments.
- Provide technical support to all cash management functions and maintain strong knowledge and understanding of related financial transaction and banking systems.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures related to financial transactions and promptly escalate any potential fraud or loss situations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in financial services including a minimum of 2 years in a cash management role or related area.
- Knowledge of electronic banking and other cash management products and services including, but not limited to, Online Banking, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), Lockbox, Positive Pay and Account Reconciliation is recommended.
- Impeccable integrity and ethical behavior required.
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with global finance team and other internal customers; ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. The individual should have an inquiring and analytical mind with the objective of providing a constructive as well as an investigative review role.
- Extremely organized and proven track record of completing multiple assignments in a timely manner.
- Individual must work well in a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative and be able to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree in a related field, coupled with related work experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
