About the company: Our client is seeking a business litigation attorney to join a dynamic team in the East Bay or Silicon Valley. The annual minimum billable hours target is approximately 1,700.
About the Role: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of litigation experience with a preference for business litigation experience. Matters include contract disputes, fraud claims, unfair competition, trade secrets, business dissolution disputes, and corporate claims.
Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will encompass a range of matters, including:
- preparing pleadings, discovery demands and responses;
- motion practice;
- appearing in court;
- taking and defending depositions; and
- preparing for and participating in mediations and settlement negotiations.
Qualifications: Admission to the California bar is required. A distinguished academic record as well as strong communication and organizational skills are desired. At least 3 years of litigation experience at a law firm with some experience taking responsibility for client matters.
Pay range and compensation package: This position provides a competitive base salary range of approximately $140,000.00-$175,000 and a bonus structure based on hours billed and merit.
