What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Barnes Supply?
Barnes Supply Tampa Delivery Driver.
Responsibilities include:
-Pulling and loading merchandise for deliveries. (Familiarity with merchandise)
-Confirming that deliveries are loaded and accounted for, correctly, making sure to follow our procedures
-Good Communication is vital to our business functioning correctly. **I cannot stress the importance of this, explained further in interview **
-Following all company protocols when it comes to deliveries, explained fully during the interview.
- Our drivers are one of the many faces of our company. You will be dealing with our customers directly, great customer service is a must.
- Transfer deliveries from our Orlando and Tampa warehouses
-There are times when the employee will be doing non delivery work on property, e.g. stocking inventory, warehouse cleanup, miscellaneous side work.
-This work will require a large amount of physical labor. You will be on your feet a lot and climbing in and out of a van/truck. Lifting multiple boxes, pushing/pulling pallet jacks and hand carts, climbing ladders and steps to put inventory away in shelves. (Working well in a fast paced environment is a must, our crew works fast and needs like minded individuals)
-Being able to lift 40-50 lbs with proper technique (Lifting with legs) is utterly important.
-We need drivers that are prompt, friendly and courteous, but also know not to stay longer than needed per delivery.
- To drive for our company you need to be at least 22 and have a clean driving record.
-Please only apply if you have actual driving and delivery experience.
- References are needed and will be checked.
-We need someone who is reliable as the rest of our team depends on each other
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00 /hour to start.
We are very picky when finding a driver. There is a 30 day prohibitory period. After the period is done and we know this driver can follow all protocols then we can move to $20.00 an hour
