Position Overview
The Title Processor is responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of title documents for real estate transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and Review Title Orders: Open and manage title orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all necessary documentation.
- Examine and Verify Property Records: Research property records to confirm ownership history, identify any liens, encumbrances, or legal issues, and ensure a clear title.
- Prepare Abstracts of Title: Assist in the preparation of abstracts.
- Coordinate Closings: Work closely with lenders, realtors, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate the closing process and ensure all necessary documents are in place.
- Data Entry and Record Management: Maintain and update internal title and escrow systems with accurate transaction details.
- Customer Service: Provide professional and timely communication with clients, answering inquiries and resolving any title-related issues.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all title processing activities comply with state laws, lender requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in Title Processing, Real Estate, or a Related Field (preferred but not required; training available for the right candidate).
- Familiarity with title insurance, property records, and real estate transactions is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze property records and legal documents.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and title/escrow software (experience with SoftPro, ResWare, or similar platforms is a plus).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
