Position Name: System Administrator - SA

Location: 1575 Vapor Trail, Colorado Springs, CO 80916

BESL is seeking an experienced System Administrator to be a staff member of our IT Department.

Requirements

· Maintain day-to-day essential network operations, Windows and Linux operating systems, Microsoft security tools, applications, Linux virtual servers, domain controller, manage and update laptops, software, and hardware

· Perform virtual server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, and ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly

· Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop computers, virtual servers, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, and support network segments

· Interact with IT Department team members to assist in troubleshooting, identify root causes, and provide technical support and Tier ½ help desk assistance when needed

· Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups

Desired/Preferred Skills:

· Experience with Windows 11

· Experience with Linux-based OS

· Experience with Domain Controllers (DC)

· Experience with Doman Name System (DNS) servers

· Experience with VPN servers

· Experience with virtual servers

· Experience with Microsoft Active Directory

· Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services

· Experience with updating and creating GPOs

· Capable of following established work instructions and procedures

Other Skills:

Qualified candidates must be able to complete a wide range of tasks, including the following:

· Ansible scripting

· PowerShell scripting

· Azure functions

· Microsoft application troubleshooting

· Linux scripting

· GPO creation

· Remote system access familiarity

Education/Certifications:

· High school Diploma

· CompTIA Security certification (6 Months from hire)

· Microsoft Azure Fundamental certification (12 Months from hire)

· Associates or bachelor’s degree in IT is a Plus

Pay Range:  $19.00 - $30.00 HR

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act Statement:

BESL complies with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this particular effort in Colorado is approximately $19.00 to $30.00 HR.
