Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosing animal health issues.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Conduct routine grooming and hygiene tasks for pets, ensuring their overall well-being.
- Monitor animal vital signs and behavior during procedures and recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments and observations.
- Provide education to pet owners regarding proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility, including examination rooms and surgical areas.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology, with hands-on experience in animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices and laboratory procedures.
