About this Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Representative to join our team. This role will be responsible for generating high-quality meeting pipelines for our Branch Sales Teams. The successful candidate will identify opportunities to expand top accounts, both prospective and existing, through effective communication and relationship-building.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Business Development Representative at Barnhart, you will focus on contacting and qualifying customer contacts within identified accounts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Performing second-level discovery to uncover concerns, needs, and opportunities.
  2. Presenting Barnhart's capabilities that address items uncovered in the discovery process using virtual meeting technology.
  3. Prospecting and developing in-bound leads from Marketing streams.
  4. Nurturing customer relationships using various outreach tools to maintain contact and develop understanding of Barnhart's capabilities until customers are ready to meet with our Branch teams.
  5. Managing all CRM activity related to your sales processes.
  6. Following up with Sales teams to ensure complete and thorough customer hand-offs.
  7. Connecting with customers through various channels, including phone, email, social media, web-based tools, and outbound calling programs.

Requirements and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in B2B Sales/Business Development, preferably with knowledge of CRMs and virtual meeting tools.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, construction, heavy industrial, or related industries.
  • A technical degree (e.g., engineering, construction management) would be beneficial.
  • Strong listening and interview skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Zoom, WebEx, and other presentation tools.
  • The ability to exemplify personal drive, determination, process excellence, and the highest ethical standards.
  • Proven success in sales or deep working knowledge of sales cycle processes.
  • A strong understanding of our business, the markets we serve, and the buying processes of our customers.
  • The ability to learn about customers' needs and act as an advocate for our Branch Sales Teams to meet those needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as persuasive abilities.
