Job Description:
Loader Operator will operate various types of front-end loaders such as but not limited Caterpillar or Kawasaki. May be working on multiple sites as the need arises.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates rubber tired or crawler type tractor with attached scoop type bucket on front end.
- Excavates and loads excavated materials, loads materials from stockpiles, charges batch plants, and loads trucks.
- May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
- May perform other related duties such as backfilling trenches/excavations.
- May require occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Job requires the following motions: climbing, stretching, driving/steering, sitting, twisting, vibration, riding on rough terrain.
- Uses hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
- May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold weather.
- Overtime work may be required.
- Requires riding to job sites.
- The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
Minimum Qualifications & Training:
- One to two years of front-end loader operations. May train the right candidate.
- Ability to abide by precise instructions and strict buy necessary safety rules and policies.
- Must be a reliable/trustworthy team player.
- Maintain a good attendance and safety record.
Tasks Essential to Job Functions:
- Occasional standing and walking required.
- Ability to work long periods of time while sitting.
- Ability to operate equipment at recommended speeds and peaks of operation.
- Must be productive during each shift and be willing to meet the goals that are set.
- Visual Activity - ability to work with equipment technology.
