What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at Barnsley Resort?
- Ensure all mail is properly scanned into the system and delivered to the correct recipient in a timely manner.
- Be active in email communication to all departments about emailing requests, changes, and updates.
- Ensure all orders are getting checked in and all food items are coming in at correct temperature.
- Communicate to all Culinary leads/ Director of Purchasing if items are missing or broken before receiving from vendors.
- Conducting accurate and thorough monthly inventory of Storeroom areas.
- Ensure all areas are properly locked and all assets are stored/ protected in proper area.
- Ensure a sense of urgency when completing daily tasks and prioritize as appropriate.
- Rotate food, liquor, and related items.
- SITTING: Frequently. Padded office chair with back.
- STANDING/WALKING: Constantly. Deliveries, inspections, and stocking shelves.
- CROUCHING (BEND AT KNEES): Frequently. Stock shelves and handle inventory.
- KNEELING/CRAWLING: Frequently. Stock and find objects in storage area.
- STOOPING (BEND AT WAIST): Constantly. Lifting from racks, shelves, rolling carts, trucks.
- TWISTING (KNEES/WAIST/NECK): Occasionally. While putting away or retrieving stock.
- CLIMBING: Frequently. Climbing stairs; into and out of trucks; shelving for stocking purposes.
- BALANCING: Frequently. Needed when carrying heavy loads.
- LEG/FOOT USE: Occasionally. When using a dolly.
- REACHING (OVERHEAD/EXTENSION): Frequently. When delivering and stocking inventory on shelves.
- HANDLING/GRASPING: Frequently. Handling of inventory, requisitions. Grasping jars, bottles, boxes, handles, crates and keys.
- FINGERING/FEELING: Rarely.
- PUSHING/PULLING: Frequently. Average weight: 50 lbs. Maximum weight: 150 lbs.
- LIFTING/CARRYING: Frequently. Average weight: 25 lbs. Maximum weight: 100 lbs.
- OTHER PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Rarely.
- SAFETY REQUIREMENTS (I.E., CLOTHING, SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED, ACTIVITIES PERFORMED): Constantly. Safety shoes, proper guards, proper lifting techniques, sharpened knives and all safety procedures. Maintain security of work area and equipment while maintaining the level of safety required by the Company and OSHA requirements.
- EXPOSURES (FUMES, CHEMICALS, VIBRATIONS, HUMIDITY, COLD, HEAT, DUST, NOISE): Frequently. Exposed to changing temperatures, cold in storage areas, and predominantly working in outdoor elements.
- OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT/TOOLS/VEHICLES: Frequently. Driving Company Vehicles, Golf Carts, Gators, Using adding machines, scales and hydraulic lifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory management role
- Familiarity with inventory management software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
