POSITION: Athletics EMT
JOB GOAL: To assist the Head Athletic Trainer in providing emergency medical care and treatment to all members of Barnstable interscholastic athletic teams for injuries and illnesses suffered by such members during practices or games.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
- Certified Athletic Trainer designation, as certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
- Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Massachusetts and or Licensed EMT.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To maintain records of all such care and treatment.
Recognize, evaluate and provide immediate care for injured athletes.
To refer athletes for further treatment as necessary or desirable for their well-being.
